🤗🤗 I am Ru Jia, a designer with a combined experience of interaction design, architecture design and fine art. Currently, I am studying HCI in School of Information, University of Michigan. Last summer, I had an exciting internship in Alipay and designed some cool stuff. I love observing the world with my keen eyes and recording my life with my camera.
My Design Philosophy
- Business-and-User Center:
Balancing business and user needs is challenging. However, without business and marketing consideration, user-centered approach can not always make sense. - Beauty Makes Difference:
The visible beauty is a reflection of the beauty behind the appearance. It is about my design attitude and design competence. - Design Behaviors instead of Things:
Design is not merely making things, but making things to use. How people behave with the thing is worth more thinking. - Design for Smart Life:
Design connects online world and real world seamlessly. To create meaningful product for smart life, I always think about experiences in both worlds simultaneously. - Be a Better Person First:
Design is about how you get along with the world, the life and other people. My work should be the expression of my personalities.
